Students at Mars Area Middle School will soon have the chance to enjoy a new production system for their TV studio.
The Mars Area School board approved a proposal from RPC Video for the design and instillation of what amounts to a TV studio in a box at a cost of nearly $23,000.
According to Superintendent Dr. Wes Shipley, this purchase greatly improves the quality of equipment that students were using previously as well as removes the guessing about the compatibility of equipment as the studio moves into a newly remodeled space.
Shipley expects the one day instillation to occur sometime in December. The money for this purchase was budgeted as part of the ongoing Middle School renovation project.
