Renovations to the Mars Area Middle School in southern Butler County are continuing ahead of schedule.
The latest update to the Mars School Board from a representative of Thomas & Williamson Project Management is that Phase 4 of the project is ahead of schedule by about two weeks with crews renovating classrooms in the school’s eighth grade wing.
Once that work has been completed, crews will move on to the project’s final phase which will include renovations to classrooms teachers and students have been using temporarily while updates were taking place in their permanent rooms.
The project remains on schedule to be completed in December with the majority of work taking place after school hours in order to avoid disruptions to the instructional day.
