Messages are coming out in support of a 13-year-old girl who was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident earlier this week in Mars.
According to a statement from the district, the 8th grader was hit by a car while crossing from the Mars Middle School to the new Sheetz convenience store.
Mars officials say they understand that this is an emotional time for students and the community. Counselors have been made available for students and staff who may need special attention or support.
District superintendent Dr. Mark Gross also asked the community to keep the student in their thoughts and prayers.
There is no word on her current condition.
