A couple of groups of Mars Area student athletes are asking for community support with a collection and a fundraiser.
First, the High School Boys Varsity Volleyball team is sponsoring a Spring Food Drive at each of their home games beginning with tonight’s game at 7:15 p.m. Items collected will benefit local families through Inspired Hearts and Hands. Monetary donations are accepted online.
Then, the Lady Planets Softball Boosters are holding am “Egg My Yard” fundraiser to benefit the High School Girls Varsity Softball team through Saturday, April 1st. Pre-filled eggs, along with a note from the Easter Bunny will be hidden in a yard of the purchaser’s choice the night before Easter at a cost of $25 for 30 eggs, $45 for 50, or $60 for 75.
