Students at a local school district are again observing Red Ribbon Week with a variety of theme days.
Red Ribbon Week begins Monday and runs through Friday in the Mars Area School District.
Kindergarten through 8th grade students at Mars Area schools will be wearing tie-dyed clothing tomorrow to focus on students not getting tied up with drugs while high school students can wear sports jerseys for a theme of “Slam and Dunk, Drugs are Junk”.
Other theme days include wearing patriotic colors Tuesday, mismatched clothing Wednesday, pajamas on Thursday, and school colors on Friday.
Red Ribbon Week is an annual drug and alcohol prevention awareness campaign sponsored by the National Family Partnership.
