As many high schools prepare for prom season, a local school district plans to hold a “mock accident” to give students an up-close-and-personal look at the potential effects of drinking and driving.
A mock crash event for Juniors and Seniors is scheduled for Wednesday just after 9 a.m. in the parking lot of Mars Area High School.
Firefighters from Adams Area, Callery, and Middlesex, along with Adams Township police, the Butler County Coroner, Butler County 911, Life Flight and EMS will all participate.
Some student drivers may need to park at the Mars Area Middle School and ride a shuttle bus to the High School. This event is sponsored by the school’s REACH program which stands for Responsible Educated Adolescents Can Help.
