A group of Butler County students are asking for help from the voting public to advance in a regional contest.
Eighth grade students at Mars Area Middle School have produced a video as part of the 2019 Pittsburgh “Explore the New Manufacturing” student video contest.
The video is a profile of the Cranberry Township-based laser engraving, laser marking, and pin marking systems company MECCO. Students filmed at the company in December for a short video about career opportunities.
Catalyst Connection sponsors the annual contest, which reinforces STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics) education and gives students an inside look at the various career opportunities available in manufacturing.
Through Friday (2/15), the public can see and vote for the team’s “MQ (Manufacturing Quiz)” video on the “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?” website here.
