Mary Ann McMillin, 70, of Slippery Rock, on Saturday, January 15, 2022 passed away surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born August 4, 1951 in Butler, the daughter of the late Joseph Salopek and Mary (Filetic) Salopek.
Mary Ann was a dedicated and loyal wife of 50 years, loving mother, cherished nanny, beloved sister, caring friend, and devout Catholic. She graduated from Mars Area High School in 1970, and from North Hills Passavant Nursing school as an LPN in 1971. She loved spending time with her family and was a gifted story teller, an avid crafter and a talented artist.
Surviving are her husband, Larry Bryan McMillin; a son, Bryan Joseph McMillin of Slippery Rock; a daughter, Kelly Ann McMillin of Grove City; 4 grandchildren, Samantha Ann (Joseph) Long of West Liberty, Mackenzie Marie McMillin of Slippery Rock, Karaline Grace Wagner of West Liberty, and Briana Josephine McMillin of Ellwood City; a sister, Nancy Mary Bowers of Butler, a brother, Michael (Denise) Salopek of Water Loo S.C.; a niece, Cheri Konoval of Casselbery, F.L.; and a nephew, John Bowers of Harrisville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a beloved son, Scott Larry McMillin (The Ba), and two brothers, Matthew and Joseph Salopek.
Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 2 PM until time of the Blessing service at 5PM.
Private burial in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
