Mary Anne Leicher, 69, of Butler, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 14, 1953 in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Leonard and Gloria (Sullivan) Broskey.
Mary Anne was an amazing cook and known for her apple dumplings, chocolate covered strawberries and was always whipping up some kind of dessert. She enjoyed tending to her garden, many flowers and feeding the hummingbirds. She loved to swim and spend time in her pool with her grandchildren. Mary Anne loved a good crossword puzzle, playing dj trivia and card games with her husband and friends. She devoted her life to the needs of her husband and children always putting others before herself.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Carl N. Leicher, Sr., of Butler; her two children, Tammy (Scott) Grassi and Carl N. (Jill) Leicher, Jr. both of Butler; five grandchildren, Joshua, Tanner, Kameron, Maggie and Andy, her four siblings, Leo (Phyllis) Broskey of Shaler; Dorothy May (Barry) Leicher of Chicora; Edward (Stacie) Broskey of Butler; Leonard Broskey of Shaler; and a number nieces, nephews and other family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Broskey.
Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 2-4 6-8PM.
Funeral service will be held at New Life Christian Ministries, 139 Knoch Rd, Saxonburg, PA 16056, on Friday, January 13, 2023, at 11AM with Pastor Barry Leicher officiating.
Private interment in the Saxonburg Cemetery.
