Mary R. Isabella, age 89, of Bloomingdale, IL., formerly of Butler, passed away Wed., Dec. 22, 2021, in Bloomingdale.
Born April 3, 1932 in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Domenick and Serafina Taliano Zuccala.
Mary was a homemaker who was formerly employed by Spaide Shirt Company and the Dietary Department of Sunnyview Nursing Home.
She was a member of All Saints Parish, Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Butler.
She belonged to the 55 & Alive of St. Michael’s, and she participated in Silver Sneakers and yoga at the Tanglewood Center. She loved to dance and cook, and she also loved canning the fruits and vegetables from her garden.
Mary is survived by her husband, Paul D. Isabella; one son, Louis Isabella, of Shaler Township; one daughter, Marisa Mondi and her husband, Dan, of Bloomingdale, IL.; three grandchildren, Peter Mondi and his wife Rachel, of Elmhurst, IL., Jeanna Mondi, of Seattle, WA., and Paul Mondi, of Carol Stream, IL.; and one great-grandchild, Oliver, whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Ave., Butler, on Tues., Dec. 28, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wed., Dec. 29, at 10 a.m. from All Saints Parish, Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., Butler, with the Rev. Kevin Fazio officiating.
Entombment will take place in St. Michael’s Cemetery Mausoleum.
