Mary Rose (McIlvain) Ogin, 76, of Butler, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, after a short illness at Allegheny General Hospital.
She was born August 29, 1948 in Butler, a daughter of the late Homer McIlvain and Evelyn (Hagins) McIlvain
She retired in 2004 from the Butler County Assistance Office after 35 years and then had worked at Thomas Chiropractic Office in Butler. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s sporting events, going to the casino, and spending time with her family and her fur baby Teddy. She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
Surviving is her husband Terry Ogin, her son, Michael (Kimberly) Ogin and her daughter, Maria (Barry) Rea, all of Butler.
3 grandchildren: Kate Ogin, Kelsey Ogin and Kole Rea, all of Butler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother John McIlvain and sister-in-law, Joyce McIlvain.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 1-3 and 6-8 pm on Saturday. A Blessing Service will follow at 8:00 pm, at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Butler.
