Pennsylvania’s mask mandate is officially over.
The Department of Health lifted the order at midnight—meaning that everybody in the state no longer has to wear a mask whether you are vaccinated or not.
Now some businesses are still allowed to require a mask if they choose to implement that rule.
The Department of Health says that one of the reasons they are lifting the mask mandate is because of the higher vaccination rate in Pennsylvania.
According to the latest data, 70 percent of residents over the age of 18 have received at least one dose of the vaccine; 60 percent of the population is fully vaccinated.
