Butler’s incumbent mayor has declared his candidacy for a second term.
Democrat Mayor Bob Dandoy recently announced that he plans to run for the top position later this year.
Dandoy began his first term in January of 2022 and points to the sale of the Butler Area Sewer Authority assets as one of the most important accomplishments of his term. He would like to continue the process of managing and investing the approximately $90 million proceeds in a way that ensures a bright future for city residents and businesses.
Dandoy joins current Council member and Republican Don Shearer as candidates who have announced their intentions to run.
