A company involved in an alleged fraud scheme at a Beaver County-based pharmacy chain has agreed to a deal and will plead guilty.
Iserve Technologies was co-located and operated out of Med-Fast. The government accused both companies of participating in a conspiracy to fill prescriptions for nursing homes with recycled unused drugs. As part of the pleas deal, Iserve was ordered by the court to pay $2 million in criminal fines and reimbursement to Medicare and Medicaid for overbilling.
Federal officials previously charged 47-year-old Gino Cordisco of Mars with one count of conspiracy. Cordisco was the Vice President of Store Operations for Med-Fast Pharmacy.
Several other individuals and entities associated with Med-Fast have agreed to pay more than $2.5 million to the federal government as part of a settlement. The owner of Med-Fast is Cranberry Township resident Douglas Kaleugher.
