There is still time to register young people for a contest as part of an event planned for this weekend.
The local non-profit mentoring organization Connecting 2 Tomorrow has an Open House planned for Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. on the First Floor of Cubs Hall on South McKean Street.
This Open House will include a free Hoops Contest for kids with prizes and refreshments. Those interested in registering should call 724-431-6025 by Friday and leave the child’s name and age.
Connecting 2 Tomorrow is a local organization focused on teaching mentoring skills to adult volunteers and then matching them with teens that need help.
