Gun rights advocates gathered for an annual rally on the steps of the state Capitol in Harrisburg on Monday.
The rally was organized by Butler County Republican State Representative Daryl Metcalfe.
During the event, Metcalfe said he plans to impeach Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto for firearms legislation introduced last month.
“He willfully, brazenly, arrogantly violated the law because he doesn’t agree with employing the processes that are in place to change it,” Metcalfe said.
In April, Peduto signed bills enforcing firearms legislation into law. The bills were in response to the October shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue that killed 11 people.
