Michael “Ez” Green, 65, of Butler, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021. He was born in Butler, on June 25, 1956, to Evelyn and the late Floyd “Popeye” Green. Mike was raised in Butler and worked for Armco for almost 40 years. He was known to be the kindest, most passionate, hardworking, family-oriented man. He was easy going, loving, free thinking, and lived through spirituality. Anyone that had the extreme privilege to know him would agree it was an honor to call him a friend. He loved music, art and reading. He combined all his passions, skills and efforts to build “The Cabin” in Slippery Rock over decades by hand. The cabin was his life’s goal and mission. He was so loved and will be forever missed. The world wept the day Ez passed away. Mike was the loving husband of Florence “Cissy” Green; father of Nichole (Brian) Wheeler, Megan Davenport, Tori (Brandon) Mowry, Kristina Snyder, Mylan Green, Shayna (Luke) Wilhite, and Camryn Green; brother of Marty (Jeri) Green, Chris (Noelle) Green, Kelly (Bob) Bower, Alisa Green, and Doug (Stephanie) Green; grandfather of Lexi, Noah, Dawson, Bayden, Ella, Evan, Harlow, and Myka; great grandfather of Layla and Daxton. Mike is also survived by his brother-in-law Bob Dandoy, numerous nieces, nephews, and a large and loving family. Along with his father he was preceded in death by his beloved sister Julie Dandoy. Burial will be held privately. A celebration of life will be on Saturday, January 1st from 1-3 PM in the SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 NEW CASTLE RD. BUTLER, PA 16001.
