A Michigan man is facing charges after he allegedly led police on a chase throughout the City of Butler this past weekend.
The incident began Saturday night around 11 p.m. near the GetGo on Route 8.
Police say 31-year-old Deontae Thompson was pulled over for a stop sign violation and not having a valid driver’s license.
When police began the traffic stop, Thompson allegedly took off and fled into the City near East Pearl Street.
He eventually left his car and took off on foot. Police say after a long search they were able to arrest Thompson near Oak Street.
Thompson was placed in the Butler County Prison.
