A local business owner and current school board member is seeking a seat in the state house of representatives.
John Kennedy of Middlesex Township announced that he will run for either the 8th or 12th District depending on the final approved house map.
Kennedy currently owns and operates a bird hunting preserve and a retail meats market. He is also on the Mars Area School Board.
Kennedy describes himself as a “rock-solid conservative” and says he will focus on agricultural issues.
Kennedy is also the son of former Butler County Commissioner James Kennedy.
