Milford A. Barber, 88, a lifelong resident of Butler passed away on Thursday, February 3rd 2022 at Sunny View Nursing Home. He was protestant in Faith. Born September 14th, 1933, he was the son of the late Albert Barber and Louise (Wallace) Barber. He resided at Sunny View Nursing Home for over four years following a long battle with advanced Parkinson’s disease. He owned and operated his trucking business for over 50 years. He was a Diesel mechanic by trade and could repair anything. He was partners with his brother-in-law Tony Sequite of the Silver Dollar Bar in Herman PA for 6 years. He attended the Daytona 500 in Florida for over 50 years with his family and friends. He was involved for many years in the stock races at Lernerville, Blanket Hill, and all-around local races. He was in the US Army, a veteran of the Korean War serving in France, Germany, and Italy, discharged as a SP4. He belonged to the VFW post 249 and the American Legion post 117 of Butler PA. He is survived by 3 children, Jeffery (Rebecca) Barber, Martha (Jon) McClymonds, and Milford (Faith) Barber Jr.; also by the mother of his children Nancy Barber Holbein, all from the Butler area. He is also survived by his brother William E. (Sylvia) Barber; 4 sisters, Pauline (Bernie) Birckbichler Parr, Annabell Bergbigler of Tennessee, Donna J. Stevens of Eau Claire, and Tillie J. (Tony) Sequite of Meridian; 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 step daughters, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Milford was preceded in death by his parents, wife Carol (Balient) Barber, brother Ralph J. Barber, 2 sisters Cecelia R. Klepper and D. Mae Fiddler.
