Monday kicks off Military Appreciation Week at Slippery Rock University.
A number of events are scheduled for this upcoming week to honor veterans, including those who are SRU students.
The week is highlighted by the Veterans Day ceremony which will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Russell Wright Alumni House.
The university will also be conducting “Green Zone” training throughout the week, which is a certification program for students, faculty and staff to help empower veterans on campus.
