Miriam J. Lippi, age 94, of Hickory Street, Butler, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Butler on April 24, 1929, she was the daughter of Carlo and Agatina (Rosellini) Lippi. She was a graduate of the Butler Area School District and she owned and operated Lippi’s Grocery, 303 Hickory St., from about 1960 until her retirement in the early 1990s.
A devout Catholic, she was a member of All Saints Parish, Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Louis, and by her sisters, Flora and Alba. She is survived by a number of cousins, including Sandra Pontius of Butler, who was one of her caregivers.
Ms. Lippi was a cat lover. Donations in her memory may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, a no-kill shelter.
Funeral services and burial were private.
