–Texas defeated Tampa Bay 4-0. The AL wild-card series opener between the Rangers and the Rays drew an announced crowd of just 19,704 to Tropicana Field, the lowest for a postseason game since the 1919 World Series. The two teams play Game 2 of their best-of-three series today just after 3pm.
–Minnesota defeated Toronto 3-1. Royce Lewis homered twice for the Twins, who snapped an 18-game post-season losing streak. The Twins host the Blue Jays today at 4:38pm.
–Arizona defeated Milwaukee 6-3. Game 2 is in Milwaukee tonight just after 7pm.
–Defending National League champion Philadelphia defeated Miami 4-1. Game 2 is 8:08pm tonight.
