A town hall is happening tonight to discuss a proposed rule by the Department of Energy that puts the Cleveland Cliffs Butler Works plant in danger.
Congressman Mike Kelly is holding the event that starts tonight at BC3’s Founders Hall.
The event comes even though Governor Josh Shapiro said he believes the Department of Energy will not be moving forward with the policy, which would eliminate the need for grain oriented electrical steel.
The DOE has not made an official comment on the policy since it was first proposed.
The event begins tonight at 6 p.m. and no registration is required.
