There were 31 new cases of COVID-19 and no additional deaths for Butler County Monday.
It comes after a weekend that saw 111 new cases. However going back to last Monday, the Department of Health reported only two deaths for the county—that’s the fewest number of deaths in a week for the county in 2021.
As of Monday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating 18 patients for the coronavirus, with five COVID patients in the ICU. Statewide hospitalizations have also ticked upward, with more than 2,200 now being treated for COVID.
There were five additional deaths in Pennsylvania reported Monday and just under 3,000 new cases.
