There were 16 new cases of COVID-19 and one additional death reported by the state for Butler County on Monday.
That now brings the death toll to 413 since the beginning of the pandemic.
Over the seven days, our reporting shows that last week was the fewest number of new cases since the beginning of the year.
As of Monday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating five patients for the coronavirus, with one COVID patient in the ICU. This is a decrease from eight and three in the ICU on Friday. Butler Health System did report one death to the state on Sunday.
Statewide, the trend of declining cases is continuing too. There were just under 1,000 new cases reported Monday.
Hospitalizations across the state also went down, with 1,436 receiving treatment. That’s the fewest hospitalized patients in the state since March 15th.
