There were 48 new cases of COVID-19 reported by the state for Butler County on Monday.
That comes after a weekend of 238 positive cases. Over the last three days, the county has also had 515 negative test results—giving the last three days a 35.7 percent positivity rate.
There have been five additional deaths for the county since Friday according to the PA Department of Health which brings the local total to 75.
As of Monday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital is treating 40 patients for the coronavirus, with seven patients in the ICU. Butler Health System also reported one death to the state on Sunday.
The DOH also is says there are now over 4,000 patients hospitalized due to COVID across the state.
Statewide, there were 4,268 new cases Monday, 32 additional deaths, and around 10,000 negative test results.
