There were nine new COVID-19 cases for Butler County on Monday.
It comes with 65 negative tests, giving it a 12 percent positivity rate.
The recent surge in county cases can also be linked with a growing case count at Slippery Rock University. In the past seven days at SRU, they have 31 confirmed cases, and have had 42 since August 20th.
Overall the state reported 547 new cases, 20 new deaths, and around 9,000 negative tests.
