Butler County leaders say there is still a significant amount of money set aside for emergency rental relief.
Nearly $11 million is currently available for those who have had their income impacted by COVID and need help paying rent.
Human Services officials say they’ve only used about $1.5 million so far for the program. But they also urge those who need the assistance to reach out because the program is coming to a close at the end of October.
And leaders fear that as the eviction moratorium expires, there could be an influx of people looking for the financial assistance.
If you’re interested in the program, the county say to call 2-1-1 to learn more.
