Workers in the food service department of the Moniteau School District are receiving recognition for their efforts.
The Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank recently honored Moniteau with their bronze level award for their summer food program.
The women in the department were charged with the task of getting the program up-and-running last year, and ultimately distributed more than 44,000 meals.
Moniteau was the only district in the county to receive an honor.
