The Moniteau School District is going to remote learning for the rest of the week.
Superintendent Tom Samosky wrote to parents last night that the district is dealing with staffing concerns, prompting the decision to close both Dassa McKinney and the Junior and Senior High School.
The district plans to return to in-person instruction next Tuesday.
“I know that for many of you the decision to close Dassa McKinney Elementary School and Moniteau Jr./Sr. High School is frustrating and inconvenient. I completely understand. Be assured that we remain committed to the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff members, as well as providing the support necessary to facilitate this temporary situation,” Samosky wrote in an email to parents.
“We’ll take all necessary steps to ensure teachers can teach dynamically and effectively while remote.”
