Moniteau School District’s superintendent is resigning.
The school board approved the resignation of Thomas Samosky at last night’s meeting.
Our newsroom talked with board president Mike Panza who said that the district will post the position immediately, and they hope to have a hire by the end of the year.
He also said they were grateful for Samosky’s time as superintendent.
“We’re very sorry to see Tom leave. He just did a fabulous job and really acclimated to our county and community very well,” Panza said.
Samosky was hired in November 2019 after serving five years as a high school principal in the Trinity School District.
The deadline for applications is expected to be in early October, with the board set to review applications soon after that.
