The City of Butler is moving forward with the Monroe Street Storm Sewer project.
Thursday night, Council approved a proposal from Bauer Excavating to do the work for a total of just over $255,000 as well as a change order for the project amounting to a $20,000 reduction in cost.
Five bids were received for this project and $280,000 was budgeted including engineering and inspection. The change order
was made to keep the project below the budgeted amount.
This project is expected to get underway in about three to four weeks and construction is expected to continue for about three weeks after that.
