Anyone interested in helping at local state park while enjoying the beauty of nature will have an opportunity this weekend.
Volunteers are needed at Moraine State Park’s Historic Davis Hollow Cabin on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Ages 15 and older will be cleaning up the area and landscaping in preparation for the rental season as well as painting, moving furniture, wiping windows, and yard work.
Training and limited tools will be provided but those planning to participate can bring work gloves, tools, cleaning supplies, buckets, weed eater, garden rakes, hand trimmers, or saws.
Participants are also encouraged to bring a dish to share and the Friends of Davis Hollow Cabin will provide grilled food for lunch. Visitors should also dress for the weather and bring water. Registration is requested only for larger groups.
