Those interested in an educational opportunity are invited out to an upcoming waterfowl bird walk at Moraine State Park.
On Saturday, Moraine State Park staff and members of the Bartramian Audubon Society will welcome event goers for an educational session at the Waterfowl Observation Area near the Region 2 Office.
Officials say that Moraine is a top birding destination for birds such as mallards as well as wood and ruddy ducks.
Saturday’s event is expected to start at 9 a.m. and continue until noon. Participants are asked to dress for the weather, and to bring water and snacks if desired. Staff also asks that participants bring binoculars if possible.
