Summer is in full bloom and a local park is hosting a presentation about the importance of pollinators.
Moraine’s Pollinator Series continues on Thursday with “Beautiful Butterflies” from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Pavilion #7 McDanel’s Launch Area on the North Shore.
Moraine’s Park Naturalist will lead a discussion about butterfly life cycles and migration paths as well as threats and how we can help. The evening will include a short hike to observe native plants.
Those planning to attend should dress for the weather, wear sturdy footwear, and bring a drink or snack.
