Anyone interested in learning more about bats are invited out to a local park later this week for a unique event.
On Friday (July 28th), the park naturalist from Moraine State Park will lead a session about bats at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Route 528 from 8pm to 10pm.
Participants will see a bat condo in action and will explore the wonders of these nighttime insectivores. They will also learn why bats may be in trouble and how they can help scientists by reporting bat activity.
Event goers are asked to bring a blanket, chairs, flashlights and bug protection. Staff also say that facilities will not be available at the event’s location.
