Anyone interested in enjoying nature and learning the basics of tree identification in the winter are invited to an event later this week at McConnells Mill State Park
On Wednesday (February 15th), DCNR staff will lead participants on a guided walk through the grassy areas near the Kildoo Picnic area. During the session, participants will learn more about a variety of trees and forestry techniques and tools.
Thursday’s session will begin at 1pm and conclude around 2:30pm. Participants of all ages will meet at the Kildoo Pavilion, and are asked to dress for the weather. Park staff also recommends that participants bring a drink or snack.
