A couple of recent graduates of the ranger training academy will soon begin work at Moraine State Park.
The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has recognized Dan McEachern and Peyton Bontz as two of 27 graduates of the 19 week program.
The DCNR Bureau of Parks employs park rangers to oversee law enforcement in state parks and forests as well as provide visitor services as well as education programs and information about equipment use.
Those interested in becoming a park ranger must be a Pennsylvania resident of at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, possess a valid certificate in first aid and CPR from the PA Department of Health, and complete the state Civil Service Commission
