A couple events are going on out at Moraine State Park over the next few days.
First, an introduction to archery class is being offered on Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Pavilion 5 on the North Shore. This class is for ages 10 and older with those younger than 18 needing to be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration by calling the park office is required.
Then on Saturday from 8 to 9:30 p.m. a program about bats will be held at Mount Zion Baptist Church. Participants can see a bat condo in action and learn about how reporting bat activity can help scientists. Those planning to attend should bring blankets, chairs, flashlights, and bug protection. The restroom facilities at the church will not be open.
