Moraine State Park is offering local educators a workshop this weekend for those interested in teaching kids about songbirds.
Instructors from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will lead a workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the PA State Parks Western Region Conference Room on Park Road.
Adult participants will receive a copy of the newly revised curriculum guide with over 40 bird-related activities for students from kindergarten through 8th grade. In addition to the 475 page teachers guide, attendees will also receive the new Project Learning Tree Together for the Birds Educator Module E-book.
This workshop costs $20 to attend and registration is required by calling the park office.
