A local state park is offering a couple of conservation workshops later this week for those interested in enhancing or practicing their skills.
Moraine State Park will offer a Wood Duck workshop from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday and Wednesday at Pavilion 7 McDanel’s Launch Area on the North Shore.
An outdoor educator will explain how the hatching rate for ducks at Lake Arthur continues to increase as a result of 100 wood duck nest boxes. Also, more information will be provided about assistance needed from volunteers.
Pre-registration is required by calling the park office. Social distancing guidelines will be followed and those planning to attend are asked to bring a facemask or covering.
