A local state park will mark a milestone with a program later this week.
The History of Moraine State Park will be held Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at McDanels Launch Area Pavilion 7 on the North Shore.
Visitors can help to celebrate Moraine’s 53rd birthday by learning the history of the Muddy Creek Valley from the Ice Age to present day.
Changes that will be discussed include farmland to oil fields to coal mining towns to a recreation destination.
