We’re learning more details about the inmate that briefly escaped police custody earlier this week.
Police were taking 28-year-old Damian Felmlee to the District Magistrate’s office on West Cunningham Street when he escaped. Officials say he was being taken to the office by foot from the prison. Felmlee was handcuffed to a belt, but was not in shackles.
He was able to flee a couple of blocks before police caught him.
Felmlee was arrested earlier this year for committing an armed robbery at a home near the Moraine Campgrounds.
