More homes will be connecting to the new sewer plant in Marion Township.
Butler County Commissioners approved the move yesterday to add another 10 homes that are located on Oakwood Lane into the sewer lines.
Commissioners say that Oakwood Lane is near Boyers Road, where the project is taking place. They believe it is most cost-effective by adding the homes to the project now instead of later.
It’s expected to add another $155,000 to the cost, but that money will come from Community Development Block Grants which are from the state.
With the additional 10 homes, the deadline for the completion of the project is now at the end of May.
