Police are releasing more information on an attack that sent one man to the hospital in critical condition.
The incident happened last Wednesday night at the Woodlands in Connoquenessing Township.
Police accuse Thomas Clark of hitting the man in the head with a piece of metal rebar. After the attack, Clark told a group of people to take the man to the hospital claiming it was a dirt bike accident.
The group ultimately decided to stop and call for paramedics at the Michael’s Restaurant on Route 422.
The man was then flown to a Pittsburgh hospital in critical condition, with police saying he suffered a skull fracture and brain bleed.
During their investigation, police found Clark’s vehicle was involved in a crash in Center Township. Inside his car, they found the same piece of metal rebar that was used to hit the victim.
Clark was taken into custody and is in the Butler County Prison, unable to post $150,000 bond.
