Police are providing more information on a serious crash that happened Sunday afternoon in Muddy Creek Township.
The one car crash happened around 1:45 p.m. on East Portersville Road, near the intersection with Hickory Hollow Lane.
Police say 69-year-old Cynthia Latch of Portersville was driving east when she started to veer off the road. Latch’s car then hit loose gravel and she lost control hitting an embankment head on.
The vehicle then flipped onto the driver’s side, requiring crews to extricate Latch. There was also a six-year-old boy in the car as well.
Latch had to be taken to a Pittsburgh hospital for serious injuries. The child was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
