Police have released more information on an accident that shut down a major roadway late last week.
Butler Township Police were called to south Benbrook road under the route 422 underpass Thursday just before 10 a.m. for a two vehicle accident.
The accident happened after a FedEx delivery truck driven by 25-year-old Erik Lopez-Moreno of Pittsburgh was stopped by a road flagger. Moreno was then hit from behind by a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Jace Olexak.
After the collision, Olexak’s vehicle went up an embankment and became stuck on a guide wire.
There were no injuries but it took crews an hour to clear the scene.
