State police have released more information on a serious motorcycle crash that happened over the weekend.
The accident happened Saturday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. on Simon Drive in Jefferson Township.
Police say 54-year-old Eric Weber of Butler was driving north when he lost control of the bike while going around a curve. He then struck a rock embankment, throwing him off the motorcycle.
Emergency crews had to place a tourniquet on his leg when they got on scene.
Weber was then flown to a Pittsburgh hospital.
