Area residents are invited out to Moraine State Park later this week to enjoy a morning kayaking on Lake Arthur.
On Friday, participants age 12 and older will meet at McDanel’s Launch Area at Moraine’s North Shore to “Explore Offshore”. During the kayaking expedition, participants will be able to catch a glimpse of native wildlife.
Kayaking gear will be available, but participants are welcome to bring their own. Lifejackets are required, and those under 18 are to be accompanied by an adult.
Friday’s event will run from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and participants are asked to dress for the weather. Pre-registration for all park events is required by calling the park office. Attendees should wear a face mask and maintain social distancing.
